Swetha Gupta is originally from Mysore, India and currently lives in the United States in Columbia, SC. She is the Director of Projects, Fundraising & Strategic Planning at Smile Liberia International, Inc., a young Charlotte based non-profit organization whose mission is to provide quality education to children in post-war Liberia. She is also an MBA Candidate at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
Swetha has over fifteen years of volunteer and work experience at both large and small non-profits, including but not limited to Amnesty International, Habitat for Humanity, All Stars Project, Mission Housing, and the Institute for International Cooperation & Development. She actively engages in community service and is a strong advocate of helping humanitarian organizations develop and progress.
She has witnessed a lot of successful policies, as well as not so effective practices over the years, and is glad to share her non-profit experience with the global community at EFI where she hopes the blogger and reader can learn from one another and expand each other’s non-profit understanding.
