SKATING THROUGH THE MAZE FROM UNEMPLOYMENT TO EMPLOYMENT PART 9

It is likely, the employer won’t give any long term employment to those not figuring out how to overcome their personal weaknesses. What happens is that the employer will bring up something related to them during an evaluation and then watch to see what happens. The ones that figure out how to tackle their weaknesses and overcome them are kept and promoted.

The employees that simply let it go and don’t make any intentional efforts about them might be kept around for a while, but will they get promoted? Will they get a raise? Will they get passed over? Or, written up and finally let go? When the next downsizing happens who will be the first on the list? They might need a warm body during the busiest time of the year and because of this overlook some minor issues, but leave those minor issues and weave them all together over a period of time and there is the door of unemployment! What about those that take advantage and overstep their authority? Once, maybe twice, but see that happen even in unrelated incidents over a period of time and out comes the employee manual for every possible reason to remove that employee. Even the worst employers recognize that they have to cover their assets.
