SKATING THROUGH THE MAZE FROM UNEMPLOYMENT TO EMPLOYMENT PART 10

Is it easy to overcome personal areas of weakness? No, in fact it is like fighting against a hurricane in a dingy with no rudder and only a broken paddle. There are plenty of self-help books out there on personality traits. Every one of them talks about the strengths and weaknesses of the various personality traits. I have yet to find one that tells exactly how to fix any of the personality trait weaknesses. Most of them expose them for what they are. I am not sure spending tens of thousands of dollars on psycho-therapy could really help resolve the issues related to them.

The truth is, they are there, and intent towards fixing them has to be seen and done. Making goals and objectives and strategies to work on them might be helpful. Having an accountability circle is very important. Perhaps the methods taught in 12 steps would be helpful if applied consistently and forever.

However, there are some personality traits that intentionally fight against consistently and forever! The creative personality wants to explore alternatives to consistently and forever! The extrovert loves to lay down the rules for everyone, except they have different rules on any given day as a means of hiding from their own weaknesses. The introvert adapts to the consistent and forever, begrudges the creative and intentionally undermines the extrovert, and the relaters are found trying to figure out how to get everyone to just get along. Then you have the bi-polar Red/White and Blue/Yellow or a mixture by some other name.
