Reverend Charles Albert Cunningham, BA, BA, *MA has worked at all levels of leadership in nonprofits for over 25 years, including working at positions equal to the Chief Executive Officer of local operations. He has been an entrepreneur, having owned his own successful business for several years. He has also faithfully served in the U.S. Army and in the Oregon Army National Guard and in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Besides his degrees and experience, he has spent many years in independent research giving him expert knowledge of leadership and nonprofit management in areas of human relations management, finance management, facilities management, program management, project management, marketing, public relations, and strategic planning. His expected Master of Arts in Philanthropy and Development is from the world renowned graduate program at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota – Winona. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Messenger College in May 2008 with dual degrees: Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry and Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Exposition. He graduated with Academic Excellence from The Salvation Army College for Officer’s Training in June 1994. He has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit operations through fundraising. Reverend Cunningham served as a Salvation Army Officer throughout the Midwest from 1994-2006. He left them to complete his personal dream of fulfilling his education and positioning himself as a global nonprofit expert. He has volunteered for front-line disaster services work in the USA and for short-term missionary assignments internationally. He has also volunteered as a strategic consultant to the Native American Bible College and for fundraising consulting and service with an indigenous missionary from Thailand who oversees 19 churches and 3 orphanages in Thailand, Burma and Laos. He desires to work in higher education where he might have an opportunity to teach and train management and fundraising skills and theories to future ministry professionals.
