Om Parkash Pragani is from Sindh, Pakistan. He has a M.A in Sociology. Om has been working as District Education Coordinator for UNICEF in Pakistan. His experience working in the non-profit sector for the past 6 years has allowed him to work with grassroots organizations and deprived communities of the Thar (Desert). He has implemented many projects in cooperation with national & international donors including doing community mobilization around: basic health and hygiene; education; empowerment of women; children’s rights and water rights. Om has extensive knowledge of: project management and team management. As a multilingual Pakistani, Om speaks: English, Urdu, Sindhi, Hindi, Gurmukhi, Gujrati and Marwari.
Om will be immigrating to Canada shortly. He hopes to continue his community mobilization efforts in the non-profit sector in Canada.
